Joshua Morgan III
the salvation of a great kingdom

Joshua Morgan III (Josh, as he prefers to be called) is the third in his family to receive his name. The tradition began with his great-grandfather, who after three girls prayed that he would be given a son next, to continue his family name. When Josh's grandfather was born, he was declared his father's and family's savior and was given the name Joshua, meaning God's salvation.

Like both his father and grandfather, Josh is the youngest child in his family, following three older sisters: Lucy, 26; Bridget, 23; and Kristina, 20. Lucy is currently working through her medical residency at a hospital upstate; Bridget is student teaching at one of the middle schools downtown; and Kristina is attending UIC, studying to be a social worker. Josh loves his sisters and talks to them all often, though he is closest to Kristina. And, despite them being older, he is very protective of them and has given a 'big brother'-like talk to a few boyfriends, since he's big enough to pull off the scary, menacing look.

Josh is 17 years old, going on 18 in October, and is openly bisexual. He's a very cheerful, friendly, happy-go-lucky guy, and he loves sports of all kinds. He plays football and captains the ice hockey team at his high school. He loves video games and is especially a fan of RPGs. He hopes to go to college to learn how to design video games himself, honing the nerdy side of him that is very rarely seen. He's considered one of the popular guys and is a bit of a partier, throwing bashes at his parents' house for every major break and sometimes just for the hell of it. His family comes from old money and is very wealthy, with both his parents being high-powered lawyers downtown. Josh recognizes that this attracts some of his so-called "friends", but he's fairly intuitive and can tell whether someone genuinely likes him for him or for his rich kid status.

Josh never had a real moment self-discovery moment when it came to his sexuality. To him, it's just always been this way. His parents were shocked when he announced he likes guys and girls at a family dinner one night not long after starting high school, but they have begrudgingly accepted it and leave him to live his life, rarely interfering and focusing instead on their careers.

Josh is currently seeing a closeted boy, but the saintlike patience he's held is wearing thin. The boy shows no signs of taking that first step out of the closet, and Josh is trying to be encouraging and help him, but he's beginning to wonder if it's just too much, despite having very strong feelings for the other guy.
